I am an independent funeral celebrant based in the Black Country. I am passionate about supporting people during their most difficult times.
I am trained, registered and insured by the Academy of Professional Celebrants.
A few years ago I attended my great uncle’s funeral. I was expecting a sombre affair but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was an uplifting celebration of his life. Everyone, including his wife, left the service smiling. Since then I have wanted to bring the same feeling to people and this set me on my journey to become a celebrant.
For the first 25 years of my working life I was a secondary school teacher, mainly working in Halesowen and Wednesbury. I have lots of experience in addressing large audiences - think year 11 assemblies!
After leaving teaching, I proudly worked for the NHS, supporting the public on a daily basis.
My fee for a funeral service is £180, which covers

Advice on poetry reading and music to be used in the ceremony
Conducting the funeral service on the day
